This series of photographs was conceived during my studies in the United Kingdom, where consuming alcoholic beverages was a common and expected way to socialise. However, like many others of East Asian descent, I developed the so-called Asian flush after alcohol consumption, which led me to feel that I could never truly enjoy this social activity because of this biological reaction. I decided to document the gradual change of my body colour after consuming alcohol, applying a methodology akin to dermatological studies of skin allergies.
